Potentially. It takes time out of nights and weekends that could be spent partying.

If someone wants to get themselves into trouble…I hardly doubt Sports is going to stop them….

Sports often teach kids self control and if they’re into a sport, they’ll want to play that rather than go out and cause trouble. That’s what I’ve noticed from experience, anyway.

They can focus their energy and aggression in the sport. They can concentrate on the sport and they might be so busy trying to be good at the sport they have no time to misbehave.

I think it does. Often when teens get into fights weather they be physical or verbal it is because they have extra stress and tension that they need to blow off. I used to be very stressed and my Dr suggested I run, so I did and felt so relaxed afterwards. When teens are on the field playing sport the burn off all that extra energy. In many grade schools when a child misbehaves, instead of taking away recess like they used to they make them write a letter saying why what they did is wrong as homework. Because just like us if kids don’t blow off steam they will let it out in a bad way.

I Don’t Play Sports To Stay Out Of Trouble, I Play Sports Because I Like Them

I Play Basketball, Football, and Baseball

    Well, it could.
But I think that if someone wants to do something that will get them in trouble, they can be in all the sports of the world, they will eventually get in trouble.
