Statistically teens that participate in organized sports have better school grades, fewer problems with drugs or alcohol, fewer drop outs or pregnancies.
The reasons are debatable, but most people feel that being a part of a team and activities keep teens out of trouble because they want to be a part of a group, any group, and the old saying that idle hands are the devil’s instruments are at least partially true.
