Teen Amputee and Sports Help?

I’m on my friends account right now (dont feel like logging into my own lol) but anyway, so, i have an above the knee/hip dis-articulation amputation. Im 16. And im sick of not being able to do what i want to do(sports-wise). I’ve wanted to try ice skating since i was little and then when i lost my leg, i thought all hope was lost along with it(dramatic. i know) but recently i saw a video of an inspiring little girl with TWO amputations. one above the knee, and one below and she was ice skating!:

so it kinda made me think "is it possible for me to do this too?". she has more of a stump than i do because as ive stated before, i have a hip disarticulation, but do you think its still possible for me to ice skate? even with practice? or do you think i should just find another sport ad stay away from the skates?
i see a physio but not regularly. and i have a prosthetic. thankyou for your answer ^^

Do you see a physio regularly? Or some other specialist? Do you have any sort of prosthesis? Are you confined to a wheelchair?

Someone on your medical team would be in the best position to advise but there is sure to be some way to manage this – perhaps not as elegantly as you may hope, but at least getting you out moving on the ice.

Add: If you manage walking with a prosthesis, then you should be able to skate. Talk to your phisio about building the appropriate muscles and developing the appropriate techniques.
