How to bypass laptop battery charging all the time it is connected to mains?
Posted: January 16th, 2012 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 2 Comments »Hello folks! I need some guidance. I have a Compaq 610 laptop. My first battery went off within 16 months of purchase. Laptop batteries are pretty expensive (though I’ve afforded a new original battery). If i can work on my laptop bypassing the battery charging, that’ll probably help to extend its life I think. My laptop works almost 10 hours a day on an average. I have heard laptop battery charging can be temporarily bypassed in HP/Compaq laptops. Any idea? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Heat kills batteries. Remove it when you are plugged in to AC to keep away from heat and using up recharge cycles. It will last longer.
I haven’t really worked on Compaqs but have you tried removing the battery and just plugging it in? I know a few laptops that actually work that way.
