How can you network a laptop to a printer wirelessly?

I want to be able to use the printer on my laptop. I know that you can. I just have no idea how to go about it. Does anybody have any input or advice on how to do this?

go to your dad’s PC.
go to start > run > type cmd
type ipconfig
write down the IP address.
click control panel > printers & faxes
right click the printer
click properties
click the sharing tab
check share this printer and type the share name
go to your laptop.
go to control panel > printers & faxes
Click add new printer
check network printer
check connect to this printer
type \\(the ip address)\(the share name)
example:
\\127.0.0.1\myprinter
click ok!
