   To me teen pregnancy is the worst thing that can happen to a young women. Winding up pregnant as a teen basically ruins your life, you lose all opportunities to travel and meet people and learn about the world. I think that for the teens that are too immature and have sex with all the wrong people and not someone who they have been with through a lot and have pretty much an idea of how they would act if they were ever to get pregnant should not be haveing sex. Before you make such a big step in your life you should take the precautions and get birth control and or information at the nearest health center (most of the time is free) instead of just doing it without even knowing what it is. I don’t beleive that it is important to wait for sex after marraige. As long as you find that right person it’s fine. Just because you marry someone doesn’t make them devoted to you forever, there is such a thing as devorce and cheating. So what i’m saying is that age doesn’t matter, as long as you’re mature and responsible and are aware of what you are doing and with whom.

   i do think teen preg is on rise which is funny since they have all the resources to prevent it, but todays teens are more ignorant than ever before. Not all, but too many are just plain old stupid. They lack so much common sense.

   Teen preg. is pitiful.

   I think is sex before wedlock is unacceptable and wrong. I think the only excuse for teen pregnancy is rape. If your going to be sexually active you should be using condoms and birth control pills. With all the birth control there is no excuse for pregnancy. I also believe that they should support there children not tax payers, if they are old enough to have sex then they old enough to have a job and be a responsible adult. It is definetley on the rise.

   as for teens parents it is all about the individual i know plenty of young parents who have far more time and energy for there kids then older ones… You cant just put all teens in a group everyone is different

   anyways i agree with you on the other things i think its stupid these young girls are getting pregnant at 13 and 14. there’s even a 12 year old pregnant at the middle school in my district. its stupid and nasty.

   and yes i think its on the rise especially since Juno came out. i love that movie but still. and jamie lynn spears got pregnant. also did you know she’s 2 months along again!. no joke.

   and i think you mean do you believe in waiting till marriage. i dont. i’ve already had sex. i’m 16 however i’m not stupid about it. i’ve been on birth control for well over a year. and we use a condom everytime and he never goes in me.

   Ummm, are you okay? How do you think you got here? How can you believe that no one should have children "ever" if your parent’s had YOU? Anyway, I think we need to stop judging teen parents. What if someone was raped? It wouldn’t be their fault. You know sometimes teenagers don’t have parents that teach them right from wrong, and then they go and do something they shouldn’t. It’s not easy for someone who is still young to have a child. And yes, I do think it’s on the rise. Sex after marriage? DUH.

   Disgusting and repulsive? Honestly I find YOU disgusting and repulsive. I think all pregnancy is beautiful and if it comes a little earlier than expected so be it. I’m a firm believer that close minded people like you are ridiculous and obviously don’t know any teen mothers. Teen pregnancy isn’t on the rise, it’s actually dropping. Look it up. And why would you NOT believe in sex after marriage?

    Um, you think people should never have children? You apparently want the human race to become extinct. My opinion on teen pregnancy is I don’t think it’s a good idea because of school and stuff, but I won’t judge any pregnant teens, they could have taken the reprocautions or God forbid gotten raped. When a teen gets pregnant it’s nobody’s business but theirs, their boyfriend’s, and their families. There are good and bad parents from all age groups. I’ve seen sources say teen pregnancy is actually decreasing, and others say it’s increaseing. And duh, of course I think sex AFTER marriage is a good thing. Even if someone does have sex before marriage then hey, more power to them. It’s their life, not mine.

    And people who say there shouldn’t be teen pregnancy because of birth control you guys aren’t helping. You’re just giving people the mentality they will never get pregnant using birth control when really there’s still a chance.

    Teen pregnancy is on the rise for the first time since 1991, apparently. I blame President Bush and his funding abstinence-only education.

    Baby lust in teenagers always creeped me out a little bit, even when I was a teenager. I had some friends in high school who wanted to be young parents (to this day I suspect that one of my good friends got pregnant "accidentally on purpose" when she was 20) and my thought was always, "Why in the absolute hell would you not get an abortion or put the child up for adoption if you found out you were pregnant?" It always struck me as odd. I’ve heard people say, "If you’re having sex, you need to deal with the consequences", but isn’t that sort of implying that one ought to be punished for having sex at an age that is not socially acceptable? It seems sort of f*cked up to me. And how would having an abortion not be dealing with the consequences? A lot of women feel guilty after they’ve had an abortion, and even if they don’t, there’s still a social stigma placed on a woman who’s had an abortion (even though 40% of the female population has had an abortion by the time they are 45.) But I was originally addressing baby lust. Getting pregnant on accident, I understand, but getting pregnant on purpose as a teenager? Really, what’s the rush? You have 20 more years before your biological clock starts to tick, why not go to college, travel, or work for a few years before you have kids?

    Sex after marriage, sex before marriage…as long as you’re having safe and consensual sex, and are an enthusiastic participant, I see no issue.

    Well for starters im a teenage mum i fell pregnant at 15 and had my beautiful little man two months after i turned 16. so wat are u going to do now im engaged to the father live with my son and pay all my own bills and im undertaking year 11.

    STILL THINK ALL TEENAGE MUMS ARE IRRESPONSIBLE AND STUPID!!!!!

    People should stop saying that ALL young mums are all the same all no hopers and the children will have no lifes.

    Im bettering myself for the sake of my son and his father starts his apprenticeship next year.

    Still think im as irresponsible as others?????
